About

CRAVE SYDNEY 2009 RAN FROM 1-31 OCTOBER AND WILL BE BACK IN OCTOBER 2010.  SEE PAST EVENT DETAILS BELOW, OR CHECK OUT THE PHOTO GALLERY

Crave Sydney is an annual celebration of Sydney’s unique lifestyle.  Across 31 days, in all corners of the city, you can get outdoors for some October fun and enjoy Sydney’s food, art, comedy and more!

It’s all about sharing, getting together with your friends and family.  It’s about getting out of the house after winter, getting active and finding new ways to soak up the city.

There are seven different events as part of Crave Sydney, some established, others brand new and some free:

  • Art & About
  • Breakfast on the Bridge
  • Darling Harbour Fiesta
  • Seven Bridges Walk
  • Sydney Harbour Island Hopping
  • Sydney International Food Festival
  • World’s Funniest Island

Crave Sydney is about rediscovering the Sydney.  It opens up the city’s landmarks, unlocking new ways to celebrate our well-loved places and spaces.  You can breakfast on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, be surprised by art in unusual nooks and crannies or travel to islands not usually open to the public. Locals will take in parts of the city they’ve never seen before with fresh eyes, tourists will feel at home in an international city full of intimate experiences.

There’s so much going on and the My Crave Planner is the online tool to help you map out your experience.  It helps you plan October your own way - choose one or two events or take advantage of something every single day.

As a major new celebration for Sydney and NSW, Crave Sydney is one of five anchor events on the NSW Master Events Calendar created by Events NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.

Whether it’s a belly full of laughs or a belly full of food, Crave Sydney will leave Sydneysiders and visitors satisfied to the full.
