SUNRISE, SURF, CELEBRITY CHEFS, SYMPHONY AND A SOPRANO

As the sun came up on beautiful Bondi Beach on October 14, 2012, we shared breakfast on the sand with thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors. A haunting dawn welcome was followed by the Breakfast on Bondi orchestra (including a piano and didgeridoo) and soprano Lorina Gore - principal artist for Opera Australia.

The face of Sydney breakfast, Bill Granger, was there with Pete Evans from My Kitchen Rules. Pete and Bill also judged the best breakfast on the day in our My Breakfast Rules competition.

Visitors brought a BYO breakfast, pre-purchased (VIP tickets only) or simply picked up coffee and delicious brekkie treats from surf-side food stalls. Please note, this is an alcohol-free event.

NOTE:  The program featured the rarely performed "Remembering Mrs Macquarie" by Peter Sculthorpe as well as songs by Dvorak, Gershwin, Puccini, Mozart and even Gilbert and Sullivan. It was an unforgettable experience.
