Sydney's biggest culinary talents - Peter Gilmore, Mark Best, Neil Perry, Martin Benn, Matt Moran and more - cooked alongside the biggest stars in South America, the coolest next generation chefs and extraordinary talents such as Mauro Colagreco from the French Riviera and Daniel Patterson from California.
Exciting up-and-coming chefs included Dan Hong from el Loco/Lotus/MsGs, Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz from hot-spot Porteno as well as Jon Shook from Animal and Son of a Gun - hit stars from Los Angeles; and the prodigious Magnus Nilsson from his tiny 12-seater restaurant in Sweden.
The biggest names in South American included Alex Atala from D.O.M. in Brazil (No. 7 on the S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list); Francis Mallmann, the best-known celebrity chef in Argentina and a barbecue master; and modern-day food hero Gaston Acurio from Peru, who has taken Peruvian cuisine to the world through 33 extraordinary restaurants in Madrid, New York and more.
