The World Chef Showcase is the ultimate food-lovers’ weekend, bringing together the finest culinary talents from around the globe for a series of presentations, cooking demonstrations, talks and tastings.

It also features a brand-new exhibition area plus an exciting parallel program of talks and debates, featuring some of the most inspiring (and challenging) minds from today’s world of food.

SHOWCASE PRESENTATIONS AND DEMONSTRATIONS:

The world’s best chefs offer a glimpse into their restaurant kitchens and show you how to create and taste the dishes that have earned them international stardom.

In 2012, the Showcase shone a spotlight on Italy, celebrating the state of the art in Italian cuisine, traditional and new. Massimo Bottura, the highest-ranked chef in Italy, is just one global star who joined forces with Sydney’s finest for this world-class event.

TALKS AND THOUGHTS:

A meeting of some great food and wine minds in a series of illuminating, occasionally provocative talk sessions. Speakers included David Chang, Maggie Beer and Terry Durack. See the program.

EXHIBITION:

This year’s World Chef Showcase included an exciting new exhibition area featuring the latest in fine produce, drinks and cutting-edge kitchen technology; plus chef and author book sales and signings at the Dymocks Showcase store. Access to the exhibition was included with tickets to Talks and Thoughts and the Showcase presentations.
