Bees, Bureaucracy and Biosecurity: Australia’s Food Future on a Knife’s Edge.

There’s a silent crisis threatening two-thirds of Australia’s food supply. Some 65 per cent of that food relies on managed European honeybee pollination. Even meat and dairy rely on lucerne and clovers pollinated by honeybees. The Australian Association of Food Professionals presents an expert panel to debate the problem. This Q&A event will see an expert panel highlight and discuss the problems being faced. What are the issues, what is being done, what isn’t being done.? Restaurant Associates Catering & Events will develop a special menu separately at the Australian Museum Cafe to throw new light on the notion of where our food is really coming from. Presented by the Australian Association of Food Professionals.
