I Heart Kings Cross
The history of Kings Cross is colourful and full of stories knitted together by its streetscapes, events and characters.
The iconic and bohemian landscape of Kings Cross will be celebrated with knitting graffiti by local residents and artists in this exciting project developed by Michelle McCosker and Alasdair Nicol from artist collective Reef Knot.
Participants in the weekly workshops held throughout August and September will capture their Kings Cross in colour and stitch, knitting squares as vibrant and eclectic as the Cross itself. These squares will then be joined together to cover trees and poles throughout the streets giving residents and visitors a surprising insight into Sydney’s colourful destination precinct.
Art & About is presented by City of Sydney.
